• Create a landscape that will reduce water consumption, such as the inclusion of drought-tolerant grasses or local plants.
• Landscaping work to ensure compliance with specifications, evaluate materials or select quality of work.
• Integrate existing land features or landscape design.
• Prepare graphic representations or drawings of proposed plans or designs.
• Prepare area plans, specifications or expenditures for land development.
• Collaborate with architects or related professionals on the design of the entire building to maximize the aesthetic characteristics of structures or surrounding land and improve energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with appraisers to create project value, develop project plans, or coordinate bids from landscape contractors.
• Develop marketing materials to create new job opportunities for proposals or presentations.
• Identify and select appropriate sustainable materials for use in landscape design, such as recycled wood or recycled concrete boards for structural elements or recycled tires for playground beds.
• Provide further consulting to clients to ensure that landscape design matures or develops as planned.
